Louiza Protopapa studied law at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and was admitted to Cyprus Bar Association in 2002 after being employed in one of the leading Brokers of Cyprus for a period of almost 2 years.
Louiza, prior to establishing her own legal practice L. Protopapa & CO LLC, began her career in a well-respected law firm where she ultimately became a partner. During her work experience which spans over almost 20 years of practice both as a litigator and corporate lawyer she has acquired extensive experience in civil, commercial and corporate matters as well as in family law.
Louiza has appeared at court in all jurisdictions of Cyprus and has assisted the handling of arbitration cases at the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Switzerland. She has acted on behalf of high profile sponsors reviewing and composing multi million euro sponsorship contracts for the World Rally Championship, Formula 1 Racing and UK premier League teams, as well as for marketing contracts with online and media giants such as Google, Yahoo and Bloomberg.
Since 2006 she has carried out specialised consulting for licensed investment firms and specifically relating to retail forex currency trading and CFDs (contracts for differences) as well as have been part of a specialised team that has consulted the Montenegrin government in setting up their own investment firms’ legislation.
She was the legal advisor to one of the major European MIFID compliant Forex Brokers with global recognition, established in Cyprus and has assisted the company to obtain, besides its Cyprus regulatory license, their U.K. FCA license and Australian ASIC license by steering the committee of professionals involved in the process. She also advised eMoney Institutions on licensing and regulatory matters, as well as currently offering regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering compliance advise to a number of investment firms in Cyprus. During her career she advised a number of innovative businesses such as the first records and information management company in Cyprus, the first independent management entity for music related rights company, financial technology development companies, chain restaurant businesses and trading businesses in general trade with significant imports and exports. Her extensive business experience having to deal with operational issues of large scaled complexed companies over the years, supported by her equal litigation experience, has helped her to advise some of the largest trading companies in commerce, construction, financial technology and investment services with high recommendations to matters arising from their day to day operations. She is an Insolvency Practitioner and has successfully completed the Global Programme on Negotiation for Executives of Harvard Law School.

Christiana Theodorou studied law at the University of Athens, Greece and then acquired a Masters degree (LLM) in European Commercial Law from Leicester University.
She is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association since 2009. She joined our Firm in 2012 and she is currently Head of Litigation with extensive experience in commercial disputes, banking law, employment law, intellectual property, compensation claims and debt recovery. Christiana has acquired litigation experience regarding copyright law and has noted some significant decisions on the field. She leads the department of litigation and is appearing before all competent Courts of the Republic with significant successful results. Besides litigation she is also experienced in advising the clients of our Firm in all matters of her expertise.

Electra Papadopoulou has recently joined our firm as a consultant.
She studied law at the University of Athens, Greece and then acquired a Masters degree (LLM) in Company, Insurance and Shipping law at the King’s College, London University.
Electra is a member of the Cyprus Bar Association with more than 30 years of experience. She was a partner at the law firm of George L. Savvides & Co for 12 years. Thereafter she joined the law firm of Andreas Neocleous & Co until she opened her own practice. She was the Managing Partner of George Pamboridis LLC and was heading the firm’s non-contentious department from 2009 until March 2020. Ms Papadopoulou joined our firm as consultant on 1st June 2020.
